Living and working in Mississippi, I have had the opportunity to learn so much about teaching. As a MA TESOL student, I have been trained by a number of academic professionals, both in English and foreign language, which has built me into the skilled professional I am today.

2015-2017
Received a Master's of Arts in Modern Languages with an emphasis in Teaching English as a Second Language and Applied Linguistics.
BA, UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI
2012-2015
Received a Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations. Also received minors in Italian and Japanese.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught ESL both inside and outside of the classroom for 5 years.
ITALIAN FLUENCY
I have had over 3 years of formal Italian language education at the University of Mississippi. I have also studied abroad for one month in an Intensive Italian Program in Salerno, Italy.
JAPANESE FLUENCY
I have had over 3 years of formal Japanese language education at the University of Mississippi. I have also studied abroad for one month in an Intensive Japanese Program in Osaka, Japan.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
EL TEACHER
August 2018-Current
K-2 EL teacher for Hernando Elementary and Hernando Hills Elementary in DeSoto County.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR
2017
Instructor for two courses in the Intensive English Program (IEP) at the University of Mississippi.

Duties included everything from lesson plans, syllabi, activities, assessments, to feedback, etc.
TEACHING ASSISTANT
2016-2017
Teaching assistant for the Service Learning Initiative in the IEP at the University of Mississippi.

Gained one year worth of K-12 experience working with 3rd and 4th graders at a local elementary school in Oxford, MS.
COMMUNITY ESL INSTRUCTOR
2015-2017
Volunteer instructor for the Community ESL Program (CESL) at the University of Mississippi. Students ranged from university level well into adulthood.

In charge of coming up with original lesson plans, activities, as well as, assessments and feedback.
MENTOR/TUTOR
2012-2015
Gained experience working with K-12 students by volunteering as a mentor for a program called Leap Frog.
At-risk students would come to get help after school on their homework, and I was in charge of teaching them how to read, write, and do mathematics. I was also a friend for them to lean on, since most of them came from difficult environments.
